▪️"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."- 2 Corinthians: 7-9
▪️The first community of Christians in the book of Acts were radically generous with their possessions — because of their newly found boldness and fearlessness that came out of an assurance in Christ’s love. It was the quality of their generous community that demonstrated and proved the reality that the gospel changes lives.
▪️We serve a God who gives with no bounds. We give joyfully because Jesus, for the joy set before Him, gave Himself for us. God loves joyful givers because it reflects His own generous heart. We give because He gave. Our generous giving is rooted in an unquenchable desire to spread the fame of God and join Him in meeting the needs of our church, our community and the world. Though He was rich, He became poor for our sake, so that we, through His poverty, might become rich.
