First Artesia, in reflecting Christ’s charitable nature and His call for Christians to give to others, participates in various charity drives and opportunities throughout the year.
We also take special collections during worship service to donate to specific causes. Please check the bulletin for information on special collections.
CURRENT CHARITY DRIVE
April Showers
We’re partnering with Calvary Bellflower’s homeless ministry by collecting toiletries and hygiene products to donate
Each Saturday, Calvary Bellflower opens their facilities to the homeless community to take showers and refresh themselves, and we want to help this great cause
During the month of April, a collection box will be in the foyer for people to donate needed items

Marching Into March
This past March, we collected 365 pairs of shoes to donate to Soles4Souls! Thank you to everyone who donated much needed pairs of shoes for the less fortunate
Soles4Souls is a charity organization that collects gently used shoes and uses them to bless others. They donate shoes to those who don’t have any and they even distribute them through micro-enterprise programs, helping individuals in underserved communities start small businesses and generate sustainable income for their families

Operation Christmas Child
Every winter, we partner with Samaritan’s Purse for their annual Operation Christmas Child charity drive
As a congregation, we fill up shoe boxes full of toys and gifts that will be donated around the world to children in need, along with the precious gift of the Gospel
This charity drive lets children all over the world know that Jesus loves them and cares about them
